Nicholas K. Dorau, DDS

Dr. Nicholas Dorau is a Kansas City native and grew up in Overland Park. He attended Kansas State University and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in biology. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2020.

Following dental school, Dr. Dorau desired to expand his clinical training in order to better serve his patients and completed a 12-month hospital-based General Practice Residency program at Truman Medical Center Lakewood in 2021. Here he received advanced training in intravenous sedation, wisdom teeth extractions, implant placement, operating room dentistry, and full-mouth rehabilitation.

Dr. Dorau enjoys dentistry because he is able to meet new people and cultivate relationships with those he cares for. He understands that each patient has unique desires for their oral care and offers a range of treatments in order to accomplish their goals. He is guided by care and compassion when interacting with his patients and works diligently to make their treatments as comfortable and smooth as possible.

In his free time Dr. Dorau likes to stay active through road cycling and running. He is an avid cook and enjoys exploring new recipes, foods, and restaurants. To relax he likes socializing with friends and reading. He looks forward to continue providing excellent patient-centered dental care to the people of Gardner with Dr. Mayuga.
